Our goal is to strengthen and unify the new generations to create a more solid, independent and free thinking community. Our activities and meetings foster enormous values in our "Loquitos Maravilla": cooperation, empowerment, support, socialization, sense of belonging, social and environmental transformation.

ACTIVITIES

FIELD TRIPS AND CULTURAL EVENTS

We organize visits to museums, participation in literary meetings, musical and circus events to stimulate children's curiosity and strengthen social ties. Our intention is to achieve at least a monthly field trip for 40 children. For this we depend on the logistical help (transport, snacks) we get.

OPEN LIBRARY

JORGITO CASTIÑEIRA

The library started as a need for school work support. Despite our scarce resources and the precariousness of our home, we decided to create an educational library  to facilitate our children's homework. Faced with the interest of the neighbors, we decided to open the doors of our small but effective library to the community.

We are proud to see that we managed to beat the cell phone and tablet, since  the children borrow books and sheets to draw on rainy days, sick days, or lazy days.

IMPROVEMENT OF COMMUNITY SPACE

It was  a wall full of graffitis next to a neglected sidewalk that had turned into a micro-garbage dump.

We started walking with my family looking on ways of improving it and we ended up 75 neighbors cleaning, painting and planting 80 trees. As the human group grew, our dream of transformation grew in turn.

The "Loquitos Maravilla" read their first books under the shade of the little trees they planted themselves when they still couldn't read.

El Tanque de ideas works  currently

with 240 children from our community.

TIA ROMI GAME LIBRARY

Playful and creative activities are organized twice a week. Initially our library arose as a support to school, but the presence of toddlers (led by older siblings) forced us to find material and organize activities for them. This way older siblings can read, do their homework or simply play and enjoy without having to keep an eye on the little ones. The thin red line between kinship and child labor at home.
